When will Lumen be fully shut down?

Lumen will be fully shut down by 23rd November 2020. All Lumen services will be disabled from this date. This means you won't be able to view any new profiles or chat with your existing connections. We advise that you find safe, alternative ways to stay in touch with the connections you have built on Lumen.

What happens to my connections?

All of your Lumen connections will be removed on 23rd November 2020 and you won't be able to chat with them after this date. When finding safe, alternative ways to stay in touch with your connections, we would like to remind you to avoid sharing any personal information that could be misused.

What happens to my premium subscription?

Any new subscriptions or subscription renewals were paused as of 20th October 2020. This means users with subscriptions due for renewal after 20th October will not have their subscriptions renewed. Any users with subscriptions running beyond 23rd November will be refunded for the period of time remaining after this date. We are working with our partners to handle these refunds as efficiently as possible, but given the large number of subscribers we have, and some dependency on our partners, it might take a few weeks before the refunds are completed. What happens to group chats?

Group chats, just like your other connections, will be removed when Lumen shuts down. All users will be receiving a notification to find safe, alternative ways to keep in touch with people you have met through Lumen. We would like to remind you to avoid sharing any personal information that could be misused.
